TÜRKİYE–CAMEROON B2B FORUM 2025 – DOUALA HOSTS A HIGH-LEVEL TRADE MISSION

Economic relations between Cameroon and the Republic of Türkiye continue to deepen, driven by a shared vision for development and mutual prosperity. The Türkiye–Cameroon B2B Forum, now a landmark on the bilateral trade calendar, remains one of the clearest expressions of this collaboration.

Organized by the Turkish Exporters Assembly (TIM) in partnership with the Istanbul Textile and Apparel Exporters’ Association (ITKIB), the forum was designed to facilitate sustainable and reliable business partnerships between Turkish and Cameroonian companies. The 2025 edition, held on July 3 at the Krystal Palace Hotel in Douala, brought together a 20-member Turkish delegation representing sectors including textiles, agrifood, industrial machinery, and consumer goods.

Locally coordinated by the Cameroon–Türkiye Business Council (CTBC), the event received strong institutional backing. The forum was held under the high patronage of Cameroon’s Minister of Trade, H.E. Luc Magloire Mbarga Atangana, with the participation of the Turkish Ambassador to Cameroon, H.E. Volkan Öskiper, Douala City Council’s First Deputy Mayor, Dr. Solle Geremie, the representative of the Governor of the Littoral Region, and CTBC President and First Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce, Senator Nfon Ekoko Mukete.

This mission was also made possible thanks to months of groundwork led by the Commercial Counsellor of the Turkish Embassy in Cameroon, Mr. Tuna Özel, whose efforts were instrumental in ensuring institutional coordination, logistics, and consistent engagement with companies from both countries.

Also worthy of note is Mr. Utku Bengisu, Founder and CEO of the WCI Forum, who played a key role in driving communication and participation for this event. Based in Türkiye, Mr. Bengisu led the media campaign across both countries and coordinated the attendance of several Cameroonian businesses for the B2B sessions. His strategic communications support significantly boosted the visibility and reach of the forum.

The strong turnout from the Cameroonian private sector, the quality of the exchanges, and the breadth of business opportunities explored reflected growing interest in dynamic, win-win trade relations. As a global hub for trade and logistics, Türkiye continues to emerge as a strategic partner for Cameroon’s ambitions in industrialization and local value addition.

The CTBC celebrates the success of this year’s forum and remains committed to expanding trade bridges between both countries, supporting businesses in accessing markets, and positioning Cameroon as a competitive gateway for Turkish investment into Central Africa.
